The Living Classroom is coming to Fallbrook this September.

Dear friends, We are so excited to share something we have been quietly nurturing. The Living Classroom is opening in Fallbrook this September — an afternoon program built around community, self-awareness and regulation, and hands-on real-world skill building for children ages 5–15. This program was born through a partnership between Conscious Community and Creating Pathways — two organizations united by a shared belief that young people thrive when they feel a genuine sense of belonging, when they are trusted with real responsibility, and when they have space to discover who they are. Sessions begin September 9th, meeting twice a week from 1:00–5:00 PM, with flexible start and pick-up times to support your family's rhythm. Each week, children gather to: 🌿 Connect with the land through gardening, animal care, and outdoor exploration 🎨 Create with their hands through meaningful, multi-week projects 🌱 Build practical life skills they can carry into the world 💛 Develop emotional awareness, mindfulness, and self-regulation ✨ Lead, contribute, and be truly seen within their community Standout features of the program include a Community Circle to open and close each day, a Project Block where children pursue self-directed learning based on their own curiosity and interests, a Children's Council that gives young people a real voice in shaping the community they are part of, and dedicated time tending to the land and animals — learning what it means to care for living things and be responsible for something beyond themselves. Families are also invited into the journey — through monthly community work days, opportunities to share their own skills and knowledge with the children, and an Open Land Day before launch where you can explore the space, meet the guides, and experience the vision firsthand. The intention is not simply to teach children what to think, but how — and ultimately, to help them discover who they are and how they can contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

We are now welcoming homeschooling families who feel drawn to this vision. Applications and expressions of interest are open for September 2026.
